Stains and Finishes
Stain Options - included in base cost.
- True Black (super black)
- Ebony (black)
- Mocha (cold dark brown)
- Espresso (warm dark brown)
- Red Mahogany (reddish brown)
- American Oak (light)
Finish Options - included in base cost.
- Polyurethane spray - Majority of the staves are coated in this. Slight yellow tinge in the finish. Water-resistant. Glossy look.
- Tung oil - an all-natural, nut-based finish with a slight yellow tinge. Water-resistant.
- Danish oil - a natural oil finish. Water-resistant.
Note: both stain and finish options will vary in results between wood types. I can give recommendations and test stains during the crafting process.
Gemstones
- A variety of gemstones are in stock (tanzanite, topaz, sapphire, etc.) Cost increase for item and time.
- If you have gemstones or keepsakes to embed or add to the staff, we can work out those details. Cost increase for time.
- If there is a specific item not in stock, but you would like to add, I'll see what I can do. Cost increase for item (at cost - no upcharge) and time.
Leather
Leather Options:
- Leather hand wrap - $25
- Leather pouch - $35
Available Leather Type & Color:
- Dark brown deer hide
- Reddish brown cow leather
If there is a leather type or color not in stock, but you would like to add, I'll see what I can do. Cost increase for item and time.
Engraving
- Cirth runes / Tengwar script - cost increase per rune/letter
- Engraving Color: metallic gold, metallic silver, copper (various shades). Cost increase already included in the per rune/letter cost.
Note: If there is a specific color not available, but you would like, I can try to find your requested color. I use acrylic paints for water resistance. Unfortunately, the finishes used will dull the color/shine if used over the paints.
Note: While I can obtain a translation of what you would like engraved, it would be highly preferable that you send the cirth or tengwar translation of what exactly what you want.
